Good time country song written with my friend Brian Palay in Nashville.
Any is fine.
Hello Chad,
Just stopped by and was instantly hooked by the end of the verse. Maybe a little more lift into the chorus? Great groove goin’ on here with “show me” lyrics…. totally enjoyed my listen…good luck with it!

Run It Down
Copyright 2018 by Brian Palay and Chad Sellers
V1 (Em, G, A)
Half moon, Full bottle of Beam, 2500 burnin’ gasoline
Petty on the dial singing something ‘bout a dream
Waiting all week to see you tonight,
There’s a good time hidin’ just past the headlights
If you’re ready to ride, girl come with me
Let’s…....
CHORUS (Em, G, A)
Run it down, Run it down
Lay some rubber on the way out, way out of town
We ain’t gonna stop now we started the clock on the weekend
Run it down, Run it down
Take your work week cares and throw ‘em out
We got a red dirt road to friday night and a full tank,
So let’s run it down
V2
You got me feeling ‘bout a hundred and ten degrees
Girl, we don’t need this space between
So hit me with that kiss that always works
Slip your hand under my shirt
And…….
REPEAT CHORUS
BRIDGE (C, D)
I’m talkin’ ‘bout a backstreet, slow creek, long hot work week,
Cold beer in front of me,
We’re gonna run it down, run it down
Yeah…..
REPEAT CHORUS/END

Hi Chad, I like the groove in the verses that’s pretty cool. I think the chorus could stand out more, it’s more or less in the same register than the verse and could be also a bit more catchy. The lyrics idea is not super original but fit’s well with the driving Country Rock style. I can imagine a cool demo with burning guitars and juicy beats.
