Hi there! Whatever Will Be is song (and a co-write) that came to life during a songwriting retreat in Pidgeon Forge, TN. The assignment was to write something that could be featured in a movie. No other context was given. Storyline: woman reflects on her life, getting a notion (through observations) that her life is about to change. She doesn't know what's ahead of her, if it'll be good or bad, but that's alright: "Whatever will be will be". At the moment, we're revising the lyrics to see if we can make them more coherent. I wrote this song with two Canadian country artists, Aaron Goodvin and Drew Gregory. It was actually recorded by ANOTHER Canadian country artist, Tristan Horncastle. This is the demo, with Aaron singing.

This song came about when Roger Beckett who is a country writer came over for a visit. I am more indie pop but, I had this ballad written on keys. Roger suggested the major lift for the chorus and we changed up the melody and an hour or two later we had Fade Away. I recorded the song down in Nashville at Steve Peffer's home studio. Its a song about something that happens to so many relationships when they inevitably fade away - even though the song lyric is sad- I tried to keep the vocal kind of accepting. Fade Away is not always a bad thing.

Nashville Heart is 1 of the first songs I wrote about being in love with my Hubby and Nashville. He'd take me on long country drives, and we'd go to Nashville. I fell in love with him and Nashville instantly. This song combines my love for both and not wanting to choose between the 2. I sent the lyrics to Esther O'Connor of UK band Ashton Lane. She loved the lyrics, so we cowrote it in 2013. It was then released as a single, and now is the title track for their new album released September 2015.

I wrote this track in a different setting for me. I sat down for about 4 hours with Bobby John and Murray Daigle in Toronto ON, and started it from scratch. As a young writer they asked me what I wanted to write about and this is the result.
