V1- Gather round children, by the firelight glow
I wanna tell you a secret, that nobody knows
It happened on the most holy of nights
When old St. Nick took his very first flight

V2- Up in the sky Santa saw a bright star
He wondered what drew him there from afar
Santa landed his sleigh 'neath a tall palm tree
When he got to the stable, he fell to his knees

CH- Yes, the real Christmas story took place in the sand
There was no snow falling in this far away land
A baby lay sleeping in a manger of hay
He was Born to save the whole world On that Day


V3- Santa smiled at the babe, and he bowed his old head
and he listened to what the three wisemen said
They said spread love to children everywhere
To honor the new King leave a gift for Him there

BR- Our Savior must have been a sight to behold
Baby Jesus was a gift more precious than gold

then he returned to his sleigh and took to the sky
