Well to be honest I was doing some landscaping and this song came to me. I kind of like it! Maybe would be good as a kids song.
Tell me anything you'd like about it. Obviously low quality recorded with. my cell phone.
Pretty cute—clever idea for a song. Best wishes in your songwriting endeavors.

Cool and cute song Sandra, I like it! I didn’t know shrubs liked songs, and will have to sing when I’m walking by next time. LOL

Okay, I’m into this. This is cool and quirky. You are giving a loving shoutout to shrubs, an incredibly diverse and useful part of our landscaping that is largely unnoticed but performs all kinds of functions. Could the the shrubs symbolize all of the unsung heroes of our day? Makes you think. I just dig this, very cool.

No one really sees me
Unless they want to buy me
I drop their jaws when they find out my worth
I show you where to park in town
I line the sidewalks you stroll down
I am a tiny shrub here in the dirt
I make a nice and friendly home
To birds and squirrels and cats who roam
They find my different types around this earth
You grow me to get privacy
From nosey neighbors on your street
I am a tiny shrub here in the dirt
Refrain:
Just a little sunshine (all I need)
Just a little rain
I sure love every morning
Cause its a brand new day
I like it when you sing me songs
As you walk by from dusk til dawn
I'm listening to every note and verse
My roots they tingle and I smile
When you can sit with me awhile
Thanks for planting me with you in this dirt
Refrain

I liked your song. I thought you did a nice job with the lyrics. Certainly a unique topic and you expressed your story really well. Melody fits nicely too. Yes, I could envision hearing kids singing this song. Harmonies nay not be there but i can hear them anyway. and after all, it’s a work copy, not a demo. So I’d say you done good Sandra!
