Uptempo rockabilly! I had previously uploaded this song, but I received feedback that the file was not working, so here it is again.
Hey, Marvin-
You said last time you uploaded it, the file wasn’t working…
Well it sure was working this time! Great hook, and it got all my toes and fingers tapping…
Bravo!

Marvin,
Glad to hear someone’s still writing this stuff, and doing it well , I might add. Fits right in the pocket of this genre.

Well I go bar hoppin' and I don't get home till dawn
Runnin' nonstop in places I don't belong
Got it made in the shade if the tree don't fall
Stayin' out late till the last call
Runnin' in the ground
Livin' it up on my way down
I'm givin' up workin' that grind from nine to five
So I can spend my time in honkytonks and dives
No time to waste, better clear the way
Don't behave or act my age
I'm tightly wound
Livin' it up on my way down
Live it up Monday (Tuesday) Wednesday (Thursday) Friday and Saturday nights
But on Sunday (one day) I'll stay (he'll stay) home and re-energize
I'm burnin' up this town, I'm renowned, as the king of the night and I wear the crown
Cause I'm livin' it up - way up on my way down
I'm gonna cruise that scene bein' bad till I've had enough
Or I stumble on a no prisoner kind of love
I'm like a dog with fleas scratchin' away
Until that tree falls down one day
I'm a neon slave
Livin' it up on my way down
Live it up Monday (Tuesday) Wednesday (Thursday) Friday and Saturday nights
But on Sunday (one day) I'll stay (he'll stay) home and re-energize
I'm burnin' up this town, I'm renowned, as the king of the night and I wear the crown
Cause I'm livin' it up - way up on my way down
I'm like a dog with fleas scratchin' away
Until that tree falls down one day
I'm a neon slave
Livin' it up on my way down

Marvin, you put out some first-rate lyrics—and I especially appreciate that those well-crafted lyrics end up in a wide variety of songs (musically speaking). Whether it’s rockabilly or a heart-felt ballad, you usually come through with really good lyrics. My hat is off to you—I think you’re quite skilled!!!
