About This Song

This is a song I wrote with Gina M. Paoni that was inspired by a famous jewelry store chain called Tiffany. I like to call this the "unofficial Tiffany's song". It's a song about courtship, gift giving and the true meaning of being in love.

Feedback Requested

My co-writer Gina is singing the song but it's meant for a male vocalist. Before I spend money getting this produced, I'd like to get feedback on the lyrics, melody, music and overall concept.

Hi Carlos, nice work, I love the guitar arrangement and the overall feel of the song. I’m not sure if it wouldn’t be better to change the key to a higher register, the singer is sometimes a bit lost with the deep notes.

Yes I agree with Frank on that Carlos, just a change in the key makes a big difference, otherwise though the song and the lyrics are good

Thanks Frank and Joseph. Actually, the song is meant for a male vocalist so I’m not sure about changing or raising the key, but I appreciate the suggestion. Glad you like the song. Thanks again.

Little Blue Box

Written by Carlos Tabora

Little Blue Box (The Unofficial Tiffany's Song)
Words and Music by Carlos Tabora and Gina M. Paoni

Verse 1
Well here we are again
Corner table, Katie's bringing our drinks
You ordered my steak medium with a shrimp appetizer
And forgot to ask what I think
You're so sure you know me

(Well here we are again
At the shopping mall, picking up some things
You show me something pretty in a little blue box
Trying to give me a hint
You're so sure you know me)

CHORUS
You think I'm wrapped around your finger
And you can package all my thoughts
We've been together quite a while now
You think you're ready for a little blue box
But a little blue box don't make a lady
And don't mean much without a man
Who makes you feel like a woman
Gives you what no one else can

Verse 2
So here we go again
We'll drive down to Main street to the Movie King
We'll watch a funny love story
The kind that makes me laugh and makes you want a ring You're sure it won't happen tonight

CHORUS
You want me wrapped around your finger
Want to package all my thoughts
But there's more to my love and affection
Than what's inside a little blue box
Cause a little blue box don't make a lady
No what you need is a man
Who makes you feel like a woman
Gives you what no one else can

BRIDGE
Well just when you thought you had me all figured out
I took a turn for the best
Right before Main, I went left towards the lake
Cause I've got something to get off my chest

CHORUS
I want to be wrapped around your finger
So much tighter than you thought
You've been patient with me darling
Hoping for that little blue box
Though a little blue box don't make a lady
Right beside you stands a man
Who makes you feel like a woman
Gives you what no one else can
I’ll make you feel like a woman
And I’ll love you like no one else can

TAG
Oh by the way...here's your little blue box
