Everybody needs that time to heal after having their heart broken and at some point we have to rebuild our hearts and head back out into the battlefield to take a new risk on love. This song is about being ready to take that risk!
I am always open to all feedback. This song was intended to be Country Pop kind of a song so I listed it under Country. I am no music engineer nor could I pro record every song I write so please don't give much thought to the recording itself. Thanks
Shane, thank you for your time and the kind words. I appreciate any length of feedback, time is important since we cant buy it back and so every minute you are taking out for me, long or short, its truly a great gift that I am much humbled, honored and appreciative of. Im happy the Title caught your attention and that you love the idea as well. It’s a little poppy compared to how I write but it felt fun so I rolled with it. Let me know when you post some material, I would love to hear it! Rock on brother

Hi Stephen, I love the lyric, that is a real cool and original idea that works well. The music doesn’t keep up with the lyric, it sounds a bit dated. I would recommend to have a look to the country charts and try to come close to what is on todays radio.

Frank, thanks for another review, much appreciated!
Thank you for the kind words as well. I was intentionally trying to get away from whats happening now but it did end up coming out a bit more dated than I hoped, so spot on my friend! Maybe this one is worth the revision of bringing the music up to date, idk. I never bothered since this poppy sound isn’t my strongest area of writing. Thanks again! ![]()

I like this song; nice tempo. Would be nice to hear what a major artist could do arrangement-wise to make this song explode! I think it has potential.
Good luck,
Michael

Michael, thanks so much for taking the time to stop by, give a listen and give your feedback and for the kind words. Im really glad to hear you like this one, It felt like a fun upbeat poppy song when I wrote it. That would be pretty amazing if a major artist wanted to cut this song. Im sure they would do amazing arrangement-wise on it, no doubt. Again thanks for your time and be sure to let me know when you post something up so I can return the favor.

(Verse)
Its been quite a while
Since ive wandered out
I'm hanging that vacany sign
Outside this empty house
I must admit that my curiousity
Has got me wondering who
This for rent sign
Is bringing home to me
(Pre 1)
It's a little country,
You can tell by the decor
But if home is where your heart is
Then its what you're looking for
(Chorus)
Got a little for rent in my heart
If I let you in, please don't tear the place apart
Spent all my tears trying to fix this place for yours
Now I'm ready for a brand new start
Got a little room for rent in my heart
(Verse)
Took all the pictures down
Threw all the old stuff out
No reason to hang onto
All this junk left on the shelf
I know this space
May seem a little small
But if we take it slow this room will grow
If we knock down some walls
(Pre 2)
It's a little country
You can tell by the decor
So if home is where your heart is
Than I'm renting it for sure
(Chorus)
(Chorus) 2x
Got a little room, got a little room, got a little room, got a little room for rent ::
Fade Out

Love the idea here Stephen! I don’t wanna’ dissect too much, because I don’t have any material up for you to give feedback on. However, I will say that the title caught my attention immediately. Very nice! I’ll definitely be looking at a few more of your songs very soon as time permits, and will get mine up asap as well for your input. Keep on doin’ it man!
