I wrote this song in 1982 because I was angry at Russia for invading Afghanistan. The hook was "It could be worse, you could have been a Russian. I changed this recently to reflect a changing mood. Right now it's just a Polka.

It had been snowing this winter, and my co-writer and I were talking about how it can be so nice to be snowed in. And how you wish you could take that cozy snow day feeling with you on other cold, nasty days when you have to get on with the grind.

I wrote this track in a different setting for me. I sat down for about 4 hours with Bobby John and Murray Daigle in Toronto ON, and started it from scratch. As a young writer they asked me what I wanted to write about and this is the result.
