Co-written with Mitch Collins...it was a very different song when I wrote it 20 years ago. Mitch did some great stuff to bring it to the 21st century

Trying to get this to a place where it can have a better demo and a better vocal as I don't feel it's my style at all. Looking to pitch it as a newer country song.

Title, then chorus, then thought that it would sound like a guy keeping in the "friend zone" to end up here, and did not want that - realized then that as a duet it told the story I had in mind. Only me singing both parts in this work tape

Written for a friend when she was going through a really rough separation...

I heard the initial melody from a friend in the UK and I was so inspired I wrote a verse and chorus in 30 minutes and asked him if I could use the melody...to which he said yes. I have since added to it as it was quite short and changed a few things

I like electronic / instrumental music too, and this one is something of a cross-over with various synth sounds having inspired and shaped it.

Inspired by The Byrds / Tom Petty style and sound, and all about being sure to grab your chances while you have them!
