My neighbors "Hank and Naureen" were lovely. They were in their late 80's - one day after coming back from vacation I saw Naureen in the yard and asked her what Hank was up to. She told me had passed away a few days earlier. I was so sad and I wrote "With You" as I imagined what Naureen would be going through. I played her the song when it was finished and she really loved it which made my day.

I was imagining what it must have been like to have been a dirt farmer during the Great Depression and losing everything. How would you pray in that situation? Everything gone.

Wrote this song with a friend of mine, Drakeford Lanier, in 2017. I was at the point where words seemed empty at the time and I was wondering if sometimes it's okay to not have anything to say.
